One More Spammer Goes Down

By Robert | June 2, 2007

One of the bigest spammer’s in the worls has been arrested in the US. Robert Alan Soloway, 27, is accused of using networks of compromised “zombie” computers to send out millions of spam emails. He has been charged with  35-count’s of  mail fraud, wire fraud, email fraud, aggravated identity theft and money laundering

It is claimed that he is one of the top 10 spammers in the world today. It has been said that he has sent millions of emails though a very large network of “hi-jacked” computer’s.

Soloway has been living in a expensive apartment and drives an expensive Mercedes convertible, said prosecutor Kathryn Warma. Prosecutors are seeking to have him forfeit the $US773,000 they say he made from his business, Newport internet Marketing Corp.

This is not the first time he has been in trouble for his spamming business. Back in 2005, Microsoft won a $7 million law suit against him and a small internet company won a $10 million suit of the same nature.

It good to see one more spammer off the streets. Although there is only a few 100,000 more to go.
