Parallels Desktop 3.0 is due out in a few weeks time, with over 50 new features. Some features are very cool and others have been needed for a while.

Parallels is virtual hardware emulator. It’s very popular in the Mac community for running Windows on Apple hardware. It can also be used for running any OS, for example you can run Linux and Windows at the same time without rebooting your computer, all you need to do is open the Parallels window.

The beauty of Parallels is the fact that there is no need to dual boot anymore. You can run any OS you like with-in Windows or Mac with very little knowledge and very little effort.

For a full edition of Parallels it will set you back $80, but if you already own a copy you can upgrade for $50. If you preorder, you can save a few bucks and get your upgrade for $40.
