Firefox The Best Browser In The World

I thought I would start recommending software downloads so here goes my first one.

Firefox the only piece of software I could not live without.

Why do I prefer Firefox over Internet Explorer?

My number one reason for switching to Firefox in the first place was for tabbed browsing. That is having many browser windows open but they are all contained in the one window and separated by tabs at the top which you can easily switch through. Now with the latest release of IE7 Microsoft have introduced tabs, only after Firefox had introduced it many years before. That is just an other example of Microsoft being far behind the times.

Firefox can be anything you want it to be as a browser. The base install all you get is just a plain old web browser and if that is what you want then it should be perfect for you. But the real power comes into its own when you start playing with the add-on’s.

Add-on’s are small downloads that install into Firefox and will run within in the browsers it’s self. These plugin’s can do all kinds of thing such as change the way it looks, how fast it loads pages all the way to blocking adds. This is just a few of thousand of options that you can change with Firefox.

Now you might be thinking that I can do that with internet Explorer by installing stand alone software. Well when you install an add-on in fir fox you are only installing in the browser and not into Windows. So it only runs when the browser is running and that is the only time it needs to be running, it just stops adding to the already bloated Windows installs we are all living with. The best part of the add-ons for Firefox is that that are very easy for people to make their own, so pretty much any problem on the internet you can think of their is a very good chance that someone has had the same problem and made and extension to fix it

Now for the most important thing of all, Security. Firefox is way more secure then IE will ever be. The main reason for that is it’s a very dumb browser. What I mean is it is not smart enough to change anything that it doesn’t need too. That makes it almost impossible for it to be exploited by any virus or spyware as it would not be able to do any damage if it where hijack by some malware.

That is just a very short list of why I LOVE! Firefox it can do much, much more than that and I could go on for days. All I ask is that you try Firefox for a short amount of time and I will promises that you will fall in love with just as much as I have.
