Street View For Google Maps?
By Robert | May 28, 2007
It’s looking like Google is getting ready to launch a new version of Google maps. Street-View, Much like the street view on Live Maps, you would have to assume. While it’s still not know what the view will look like or if it will be easier to use than Microsoft’s version (shown below). You would have to think it would be something like Microsoft’s version but with Google’s usual innervation and community support

Google has registered a series of domain names,
- GOOGLE-MAPS-STREET-VIEW.COM
- GOOGLE-MAPS-STREET-VIEW.NET
- GOOGLE-MAPS-STREET-VIEW.ORG
- GOOGLEMAPSSTREETVIEW.ORG
- GOOGLESTREETVIEW.COM
- GOOGLESTREETVIEW.NET
- GOOGLESTREETVIEW.ORG
ZDNet Claims that Google will launch the new view along with 3D buildings for Google Earth at the Where 2.0 conference beginning on Tuesday.
It should be interesting to see what Google do with this, from what I have seen of the Microsoft version, it can be very useful, now add Google’s flair for all things Web 2.0 to the mix along with the community that always surrounds Google app’s and this should be something worth seeing.
