Firefox User’s Smarter Than IE User’s?

By Robert | May 8, 2007

Comscore claim that Firefox users are smarter than Internet Explorer users. In this research they look at the browsing habit of both Firefox and IE users and what site they seem to frequent more.

I think that this research might be slightly bias in the fact that it is guided by the types of sites they visit. I find it hard to understand the claim that because more Firefox users seem to get there news and educate them self’s online makes them less intelligent then IE user that for all they know could spend all day sitting around reading books and encyclopedias.

I myself am a Firefox user and I do not claim to be smarter than anyone else that includes Internet Explorer user. I think Comscore have confused the fact that Firefox users may be more net savvy then you average IE user but by no means “smarter”. I could be just reading too much into this report but it seems like the Firefox Fanboi’s/Microsoft haters are having an influence once again.
