Mario Kart On Crack : Kart Rider Open To The Public

Nexon have just released Kart Rider from beta testing. Kart rider is an online kart racing game much like Mario Kart from back in the day. If you don’t have many hours of time to waste I suggest you stop reading right now as this game may just waste your day as it did mine.
Nexon are the people responsible for Maple Story another very large and popular online game. If you like Maple Story then I’m pretty confident that you will love Kart Rider.
Kart rider is a multilayer online kart racing game that is just like Mario Kart but allot more fun in my opinion. The online aspect of the game makes it so much more fun. For all the fans of Mario Kart that always wanted an online version, your pares have been answered.
The graphics of the game are much like Mario Kart in the fact they have a very “cartoony” look to them and I think that just adds to the fun factor when playing this game. It makes you feel like a kid just running riot with a kart and a heap of your friends. There are always people online to play with and are always happy to help the not so experienced players out if you ask nicely.
This game has almost unlimited upgrade option for your Kart and character. I have not got too far into the upgrade process but it seems like it is almost endless with all the option available to upgrade you character and your kart.
Though this game has not been around for very long it seems to have a very large following already and all the people that I have told about the game have not stopped playing it.
There is a very large selection of different race type’s to choose from and all have different goals but as always the main goal is to come first. There are also team based races where you and your team need to work together to try and defeat the other team. This is where tactics come into play as you will need to use all of your skill to you knock the other team out of the race.

As with Mario Kart, while you race along you will pick up weapons that you can use to slow down the opposition with things like, reverse the controls of the person in front of you, banana peels scatted across the track that will make you kart spin around among hundreds of other very handy and also very frustrating options.
Now for the most important part of the whole thing, this game is 100% free, yes I said free. I’m not a big fan of the online flash games that are all over the internet these days but this game takes that to a whole new level with excellent graphics and game as well as a great community.
If you liked Mario Kart then I think you would have to out of your mind not to give this game ago and did I mention it is free. To be part of the fun all you need to do is go to Nexon’s website create an account, download the 180Mb file and you are good to go.
There is only one thing that I found slightly irritating about this game and that is that the website is only compatible with Internet Explorer and for me a Firefox fan that can be a very big turn off but I think switching to IE for a few minutes is entirely worth the hours of fun this game has given me so far.

I played kart rider for the US and I hope that they come out with the 4th lape soon. hee hee man the 4th lape has alot more stuff to it. like 16 characters to play with and not just 5 or so. A lot more cars and animals (pets) too.
