BestBuy Gives Toshiba HD A3s to Those that Backordered HD A2
By Robert | November 4, 2007

Some individuals will be happy to know that Christmas might come early at Best Buy. We all know that they have a reputation that is not that great when it comes to customer service so most customers will only come in to score on some special possible deals, just like the one we are experiencing now. After noticing the move by Wal-Mart, which offered the Toshiba HD A2 HD DVD player for just $98.97, we now see Best Buy coming up with an offer that offers the HD A2 both online and in stores for just $99.99. As everybody expected, Best Buy quickly remained without stock and the company got a lot of online orders that could not have been honored. This means that a lot of buyers from BestBuy.com received backorder notices.
The interesting fact is that the orders have not been cancelled as we expected due to the fact that the Toshiba HD A2 model is now discontinued. Well, Best Buy comes with a special offer that translates in every customer that backordered the HD A2 players receiving a third generation Toshiba HD A3 instead. This model is currently sold at $299.99 so it is quite a special offer. To make everything even more special, every single Toshiba third generation model come included with two HD Movies: “300″ and “The Bourne Identity” plus 5 more movies you could get after a mail in rebate. It is not often that you can get a new third generation gadget at the price of the previous model is sold for when soon to be discontinued. We basically get an HD DVD Player for $99.99 instead of $299.99, which is definitely a great offer and people that will benefit from it will be very happy.
