Question Microsoft trying to be like Apple

I've often wondered why Microsoft have tried to be like Apple with their newest release, Vista. It seems as though Microsoft have not been concentrating on the coding side but rather the aesthetics side. This to me is wrong because Microsoft and Apple have always marketed their products differently. The only people who go for Apple, generally speaking, are those who after a flashy and snazzy user interface, Microsoft is for business-orientated individuals - and Microsoft Office 2007 just doesn't look like a business suite. If I was Microsoft I would forget about those who have migrated over to Apple and concentrate on the majority of the market that still use Microsoft. Microsoft are playing directly into Apple's hands and will likely lose if they try to be like Apple.

You couldnt be more wrong, only reason microsoft makes it into the business oriented side is because of the monopoly it used to hold, but microsoft has always been inferior to other operating systems (linux and apple) and its not a surprise that they should go copying other softwares and operating systems out there. Take Internet explorer for example, its merely a poor copy of firefox, and now vista, another poor copy of apple. And you have heard of the story of microsoft windows initially being a stolen version of apple, you might understand better what i mean.

I agree.. Look at the video Pirates of Silicon Valley. (you can watch the whole movie on youtube) and it's a movie about how both comapnies started. MS is a monopoly.
