whats the deal with Sun Microsystems servers?

Are they any good? Is solaris any good? Is it like a disto of linux? Does it use UNIX?

I don't know much about it.

I don't think it's a form of UNIX. I think it was around before Unix.

It seems like it is mainly for super high end corporate stuff. Never used or seen anything running.

I would like to hear from someone that knows a bit about it.

Sun Microsystems, Inc.
