Overclocking these days can be done a number of ways - if you use the software that came with your motherboard / graphics card to tweak the settings a bit, you can safely get a little extra performance out of it. If you want more performance than that, then you can make changes yourself beyond those 'safe' parameters. To be honest if you're running decent cooling, and don't push your luck - (small changes, test for a while after, monitor temperatures) then you shouldn't have any trouble.

Personally, I don't bother with overclocking much (I'll do it just to see how far the hardware can go, benchmark it, then go back to normal settings for day to day use). If your machine already performs well enough, why risk it?

It could always perform just a bit better, if you use it the way I do. I figure by setting everything within conservative parameters (I consider a safe max to be 60C TCase), I figure I will not be shortening the lifespan to within the product cycle anyway, so why not have it perform just a little better?

I used to want a laptop but now I am not so certain. I have a friend that has one and they caution about sitting in in your lap or the like as it can over heat.

Sometimes the spam filter picks up some non-spam posts. I check it all the time, but I have to manually approve some posts.

If your post doesn't show up straight away, don't worry, it will come back when I approve it.

I think ounce you get over 15 posts you won't get spammed by the filter.

I know it's a pain sometimes, but it catches more spam then normal posts.

Nah, no big deal really, just weird to hit post, see it appear instantly, then navigate back and have it not be there.

It's ok, I'll just copy the text from now on in case it doesn't go through, not have to rewrite it.

I would never overclock my computers.

My mac is fast enough

This is correct and no-one should really ever over clock their system unless. I have seen way too many computers that are over clocked and everyone of those people lost their system because they were told they could do it but did not know enough about it to know the consequences.

The words above are great words of advice.
