Currently I am working on modding an older Thinkpad A20M to resemble an Imac
not physically but mostly for the idea. I am removing the built in keyboard and mouse, and flipping the display so it will face out then i will ad a monitor stand to it and it will somewhat have the general concept of the i MAC

Are you just going for the look, or are you going to keep it as a fully functioning laptop? I would be interested in seeing some photos of it when you are done. Are you going to paint it that shiny white color that apple uses?

so this laptop i was going to use is well dated, so my buddy, happened to have some extra parts around including an apple powermac g3 case so the pan is now to put the laptop screen in the side of the case and the other side have "till" in digg font cut out with plastic behind it with typical leds on colour switches, for variety, over the course of a year or so i plan to put a new motherboard and processor aswell as ram so basically build it from the ground up but one day i plan to build an "iPC" or just -ya know buy an iMac haha

Seems like a lot of work. What does Till mean? How long till you think you will have a computer that roughly resembles a mac? Or will this be some long term project that you work on once in a while in your spare time?

h,mmm well till is my nickname, and the case mod will be done first, then the parts will be the main problem because the current motherboard will only support a P3 so i dont want to waste my time until i have a p4 and new motherboard but i will keep you guys up to date on the case

is the Powermac case B&W or beige?
