Default Can i update my CPU as long as it is the same size Socket?

I have a 939 socket AMD 64 3800+ processor at the moment, and im thinking of upgrading to a AMD Athlon FX-60 Dual Core.

My Mobo is Asus A8N-Sli Deluxe.

With that board you can upgrade to any 939 pin CPU you like.

Only thing you need to watch is that the mobo must be dual core compatible. I know that board is because I have that exact motherboard with a X2 +3800 and it work fine.

Go to ASUSTeK Computer Inc.-Support- and download the Bios Utility for you motherboard.

It will check to see if their is a new version of the bios, and if there is, it will download it and update.

Be very careful flashing the bios. I have seen them go wrong and completely kill a motherboard.
