What was your first Linux distro

Hi,

My first was Red Hat, and it was back in the early 1990s. It didnt support my new PS/2 mouse on my Dell, so I had to hack the thing to accept it. And you where did you start with Linux

My first time actually using linux as an OS for a while was with Freespire.

My first linux distro was slax. I ran it off a live cd. I didn't use it long, but it was my first linux distro.

It was Red Hat. Like 5 years ago. I didn't like its look much back then and I thought all GNU/Linux desktops were like that. Then I got hold of Xandros and, finally, Ubuntu.

Xandros was my first. I heard GNU/Linux can be already used for desktops and a friend lent me his CD. Xandros almost looked like XP but I was not looking for a look-alike and it was not really free (got to pay for some features) so I googled for another and that's how I became an Ubuntu fan.

I used Red Hat and then Unbuntu. Red Hat back then was not for the uninitiated. It was fairly difficult to install and keep running, but it was cool. Unbuntu was my return to Linux, and was a great experience. I like it, it is nice easy and can almost have my mother install it

Hi!

Is that unbuntu or ubuntu? I'm just curious because a mod on a different forum said he had difficulty installing unbuntu in his system and I thought it was only a typo (although he did typed unbuntu in several posts). I made a search but didn't find a download site so I thought it must be a hack or a mod of Ubuntu or something.
