Default Linux Ubuntu, install it!

Ubuntu is a community developed, Linux-based operating system that is perfect for laptops, desktops and servers. It contains all the applications you need - a web browser, presentation, document and spreadsheet software, instant messaging and much more.

I tested it and its good, I recommend it. ( remember that dell is now installing Ubuntu as default on all computers.)

I run Ubuntu as my main OS. For people interested in trying it out, I would recommend trying out the live cd first (the live cd is in the same iso as the installation). The live cd allows you to run the OS without actually installing it. This allows you to see how well it works with your hardware.

This is very interesting...
I currently run Window XP but I've been thinking about running linux. Is it possible to run both at the same time? How do I do this and what are the pros and cons of doing this?
What do you suggest?

I run both on this laptop. I recommend using WUBI. It's a windows installer for Ubuntu. Not an emulator, but it just installs ubuntu, using windows.

I only had one problem with it, and after I figured it out, it was fine.

Ubuntu rocks!
