Default Google Desktop For Linux

Google Desktop has recently been released for the Linux OS. They have two versions available for download: an rpm and a deb. It also looks like they have a repository set up.

This is a great thing. Having the power of google on your own computer really lets you find files and programs quickly. I'm glad to finally see them support linux.

I'm surprised it took Google that long to get something for Linux.

They seem like the type of people that like to support the open source community.

Google? Google Earth, for one.

Or in general: Open Source Alternative - Find Open Source Alternatives to commercial software
