Lightsaber-Controlled Game

The head of the LucasArts, the game division for "Star Wars" series creator George Lucas, told AFP a Wii game that lets players wield virtual light sabers is on the horizon.

If they made a Wii game where you acutally used a lightsaber, I would definitely be buying it (once I got a Wii).

Have you heard about the guy who lost his grip on a Wii wand and broke his big screen TV?

Maybe that's just an urban myth, but I can imagine it happening.

That just sounds so Star Wars cool that it can become. How cool will it not be to have fights with lightsabers....

I can't wait for this I'm a sucker for all things Star Wars - I even still sometimes play Star Wars Galaxies.

I have one of those replica lightsabres, i'll probably attach my wiimote to the hilt and do some serious damage to the furniture when playing this.

That sounds exceedingly bizarre to me, is it not bad enough that the stereotypical image of your typical geek is sat in front of a PC, coke cans surrounding him as well as take away pots instead of beautiful plants to oxidise the room. Instead now it will be more inclined to be a geek in his room with a huge light saber in his hand swooshing it in front of his TV set.

Lol, i feel stupid enough as it is playing my Wii, but with that lightsaber i'd be laughed off the planet. Pretty innovative idea, but its just a little bit too much, maybe for kids but its not going to sell to adults thats for sure!
