Just Added Chat To The Forum - Feed The Geeks

I have just added a chat room to the forum. You can access it here : http://www.feedthegeeks.com/forum/javachat.php

There is also a link in the navbar at the top.

It's a very simple mod so don't expect too much from it.

Nice addition. I was just in there and it worked fine. Very simple but it gets the job done.

I'm sure it can do more then it is but I haven't had much time to play with it yet.

Members should be able to make custom rooms and all that, but I'm yet to find that feature

Might I suggest switching to pjirc (P J I R C - the best free IRC java applet there is It is quite simple to set up, supports all irc commands, and best of all, it is free.

Let him decide if he wants to even use PJIRC before you start picking out plug-ins for him.

But it is pretty cool that you can integrate pjirc with vbulletin.

I prefer the chat the way it is now instead of having another Java applet.

I'm trying to get IRC chat up and running. Some how i missed all the talk here about PJIRC. I was trying another plugin for PJIRC that was not going all that well and was just about to try another one that i had heard about, it just happened to be the one macuser posted.

I am an absolute n00b when it comes to IRC so you will have to bear with me.
