I think I'd go for the iPod Nano or Video. When I buy these sort of things I look for storage capacity and prices, I don't really pay much attention to all the features because on iPods they are almost the same so good functionality is almost granted on any of them.
Good luck!

Video?? wow never heard about that before might have to Google that one, i think the price would be a big factor to look for when buying anything, thanks for sharing that.

Get an iPod Video! I have one and I use it to watch movies whenever I'm travelling.

I have the black, 30G iPod. I currently have about 2,000 songs and about 10 movies in it. There's a lot of space left.

Well that is a trick question as far as I see. The type of iPod that you should buy will depend on what your needs are and if you want one with flash memory or a hard drive. Now when you decide which one of those two you want you have now narrowed down your choices.

You will also have to decide what you intend to do with you iPod. Watch videos or listen to music or both. This further narrows the choices.

It depends on what you want it for, personally an Ipod Nano suits me fine, stores a few hundred MP3's and looks quite nice. If you want video capabilities, more storage etc, your going to have to get something different obviously.

Mostly it is storage you should look at, it no use buying a 4gb ipod when you have 30gb of songs, and some times do try thinking ahead, whether you will need extra space, or you can handle deleting the song and leaving only the songs you need. Also price comes into play, though in some sense, its cheaper to buy a larger space at more than buy smaller space and then find out you need more.
