Yeah - I have the 30GB Black Ipod Video too, and it was seriously one of the best investments I ever made. About a year ago when I was in the market for an mp3 player, I was a bit wary of falling into the 'pop culture' trap...all I can say is that I now know why everyone I know has or wants one.
It isn't just that, unquestionably, the look of the thing is better than almost any other similarly-priced player I've seen. Neither is it that just the interface, with the patented 'click-wheel', makes it unbelievably easy to access any file you have on the thing. Nor is it that, through all of these things and more, the Ipod has become
the style-icon of our age. It's just a combination of everything Apple offers you in the Ipod that makes it the perfect mp3 player.
I now use it to store all of the 2880 tracks I've managed to get onto it so far (all neatly filed in the easy-to-use and free iTunes software), but more than anything I enjoy podacsts - again added through the iTunes software...I've opened up so many new interests through it. On my model, videos are also the perfect added bonus.
A slight draw-back is the battery life, but with keeping it regularly updated (and it charging via a USB connection), I'm not often left with under 25% left even with my somewhat 'heavy' listening programme.
So yes, I'm rather happy with my Ipod. Yes, it's rather good.

Would I recommend one? Most certainly.
If I can answer any questions about the player, just ask, and I'll do my best to give you an answer.
