Again probably not too much use to the original poster, but just to added to the discussion, I'm with Sky Broadband here in the UK. It's very cheap (only £10) a month for no download restrictions and 16mb/s. However, customer service is just terrible. They regularly put my speed down to 2mb/s (I guess it's cheaper for them to offer that when most consumers won't notice), and it takes weeks (and phoneline downtime) for it to go back up again - that's if you get to speak to anyone.
For anyone with a normally 'nice' personality when talking to call-centre staff, I'm afraid I can say that the only way I ever had any luck with Sky was to be very...'stern' with them. But yes, like a previous poster said, I guess you get 'bad ISPs' everywhere, don't you?
Never mind though - it's worth it for the internet
