I totally understand. I would never trust a person I met online enough to give them admin powers on my site. I would even be hesitant about making them a moderator. But that is one of the reasons I mentioned the jr. moderator mod. With that, you could restrict a user to only being able to access certain parts of the admin cp (i.e. change a username, modify reputation, change user title, etc.). I don't know if it exists for vbulletin, but it is a nice mod for phpbb.

And I would also be interested in learning what other sites you maintain. Or are they secret?

Well the main reason that I don't like giving people too much power.

My brother-in-law who has a few hundred site's, owns a gaming forum that has well over 10,000 post and a very big community. He recently changed from PHPBB to vBulletin and didn't know that mods have pruning powers by default. One of his unsuspecting mods decided that he would like to prune some of the threads in the "Junkyard" section, which is where all the spam goes. He set the dates wrong and ended up deleting the 10,000 post and left the whole forums empty.

I own a few other sites, mainly money making sites and nothing to exciting. The main reason I started this site is because I was sick of building small sites that where there for no other reason then to make money. So i started this site, which is the exact opposite of all the other sites I've done.

I don't plan to make any money from this site and I only did it so I could work on a site that I actually enjoy and want to see it grow.

The only problem I have now is that I have to give this site a fairly low priority for my day. I have to put my other sites first as they are the ones paying the bills and without them this site would not exist. I would love to spend as much time on this site as I do my other, but I can't justify time when it makes no money. This site is my hobby and i love doing it and I hope one day i can devote all my time to it.

Because they are completely different types of sites. I would prefer not to mention them.
