Default Photoshop Help

I am curious as to if anyone knows how to do this. I do have Photoshop CS2 and have basic/intermediate knowledge.

Say I have a picture of a girl holding a flower. How do I turn everything black and white, but leave the flower in color?

Thanks.

Scratch that! I found a good tutorial online and am now able to do it. It's actually pretty easy!

Could you maybe post a link to the tutorial or the solution? I believe I know how you could accomplish this, but I am interested in how the tutorial did it.

Sort of. I didn't really know how to use a mask. So, I always had to get my selection perfect.

Well, people like to do things differently. Take making a script/program. There are many different programming languages you can use.
