I hardlty ever use my digital camera anymore. My kids have taken it over.My daughetr takes great shots.I have am sd card that I have in it and I forget how big it is but its all I need you can get I know over 100 shots on it. Thats more than I will ever need on there.
I currently using a SD 512 Mb card for my camera, I also have a 16 Mb backup. Next month I am looking at buying a 1Gb for my camera, because there are times when I fill up the 512 Mb, with out the possibility to empty it on my computer/laptop.
I have several cards for each of my camera's so I always have more than what I need for any photo shoot or just vacationing. I originally got smaller cards but have a few larger storage ones as well. But in all honesty, there really is no need to have super big cards with lots of storage unless you are taking tons of pictures and then as long as you have a place to unload them, such as a laptop, it does not really matter.
I have three cards for my camera. I have a Sony camera so I use Sony Memory Stick...and it's more expensive than SD. I have 512 mb, 256 mb and a free 16mb Sony Memory Stick. The cards are not enough for me.
I found the memory thing lol mine must be really small, i must have to go and have a look at the stores see if i can get a bigger one, everytime i've taken pictures i always complain because i've taken pictures and can't take anymore and the best pictures to take are when i don't have any space let lol, on the card it says xD picture card 16mb.
I had 128MB but just bought a 2GB for $17. with a $17. rebate at Fry's. If I get the rebate it will be less than $1.50 for the sales tax. Even without the rebate that's a great price. I use the SD format and have a USB drive to plug into the computer and download that way. Pretty handy. With that big a memory I can set the camera for maximum resolution and still take hundreds of shots.
