Default Coding WordPress

I'm thinking of starting a WordPress blog. It will either be a personal blog or a health/diet blog. Of course, I want my blog to look unique so I'm thinking of hiring someone to make a WordPress design for me or maybe I can do it myself. Is it hard to code Wordpress? And how much is a unique WordPress design?

Default Re: Coding WordPress

It's very easy. Go to their theme site (just google wordpress themes.. and click on the official one) and find one you like.. then just edit the css coding and php (if you want) and your done.
i took the first one here: Theme Viewer

and transformed it into http://onjasonsmind.com (my cousins site)
