I'm a web developer so its all part of my job:

I'm also able to read/understand ASP, JSP though I couldn't code in them without reference.

I'm no coder but I love hear/reading you guys talk about. I would love to learn some from of coding. I know it would help me in my job hugely but just don't have the time to study.

Just take it one step at a time. Or in this case, one command at a time. Sooner or later, you'll be able to program.

I try to hack my through it but I usually end up just getting someone I know to do it, or if all else fails I just pay someone.

Not the best attitude to have but most of the time i just need the work done and don't have time to stuff around and learn my way through it and not have it work right at the end anyway.

Other way to learn is post the actual problem and look for the corrective steps suggested by the people know about it...

Hey Robert,

I don't think this reflects negatively upon your attitude at all. I do the same thing. We can't all be good at everything, right? Besides, I enjoy supporting freelance programmers. They often support me, too. I trade services for a lot of work.

Well, when you're not able to spend money to pay someone to code something for you, you go about things a little differently. But if no one was willing to pay for these things, a lot of programmers would be out of a job.
