Melted Mac or Just a Hot Lap?
By Robert | May 15, 2007

We’ve seen Mac Books all kinds of trouble in past year or so. Burned, cracked, bulging, whining, and discolored, just to name a few — but a German member of MacUser has just posted some pic’s which seem to show a whole new form of Mac Book self destruction. In this picture the Mac Book actually appears to be melted from its own exhaust heat.
So the story goes, this very unlucky Mac user was watching the AFI’s Top 100 Movies of All Time, and had just got a little absorbed in the 2000 Wayans brother tour de force ‘Scary Movie’ when the exhaust heat from his Mac Book started to warp the LCD’s plastic bezel.
It has all ended in fairy tales style with Apple agreeing to replace the so melted Mac book for a not so melted Mac Book, though with Mac Books having been clocked at running north of 200 degrees Fahrenheit, this may not be the last laptop that Apple replaces.
